Small Scale Pyrolysis Solutions

Targeted to towards smaller markets, the Plant size is very dependent on the amount of tonnage per day and is very scaleable

Types of Plants

Converts Waste Plastics, used Oils or Used tyres to Fuels using pyrolysis

  • Plastics HDPE (High-Density Polyethylene), LDPE (Low-Density Polyethylene), PP (Polypropylene) and PS (Polystyrene) to Pyrolysis Oil
  • Waste Oil
  • Used tyres (tires)

Other Plant info
  • Continuously Fed Plant
  • No toxic emissions are expected from the pyrolysis plant: the only gases emitted to the air are the results of complete combustion of hydrocarbons, and therefore only CO2 and H2O

Plastics HDPE, LDPE , PP and PS to Pyrolysis Oil

90% Yield
The return on clean waste plastic is approximately 90%
100kg of HDPE will yield approximately 90 litres of Pyrolysis Diesel.
Waste Oil
90% Yield
Used tyres (tires)
50% Yield

Approximate costs and profits running the plant for 24 hours

Burner (Diesel) U$ 12.50
Electricity 1,8 kW/h U$ 0,30
Total cost to run the plant for 24 hours = U$ 12,80
Fuel made in one day : 2000 Litre
Cost per Litre : U$ 0,0064
Fuel selling price per litre : U$ 0,25 (You can ask more for the fuel. This price is just used for calculation purposes.)
Fuel selling price for 2000 Litre per day : U$ 500.00
Fuel sold for one month : 30 x 500 = U$ 15 000.00
Fuel sold for 10 months : 15 000 x 10 = U$ 150 000
Please Note : Figures are subject to change without notice.
Important Note:
  • It is advisable to have the plastic pre-sorted in order to remove all PVC and PET by hand.
  • PVC contains chlorine, which will be present in the fuel, and requires an additional process to remove the chlorine, which is costly. PVC/Chlorine also gives off poisonous gasses.
  • All plastic must be dry from water.
  • Old plastic oil cans with an oil film are no problem.
  • A conveyor hand sorting system is advised.
